Travis, the chimpanzee, attacked Charla Nash in February 2009. Chimpanzee leaves her fighting to live and needs a new facial replacement. A baby chimpanzee called Travis. He was adopted by Sandra and her boyfriend and husband, Jerome Herold, almost ten years before. Since he was 3 weeks old and a valued part of the family. He also experienced episodes of unexpected misbehavior for many months.
The chimpanzee, who has clothed himself, performed housework. Travis also provided Sandra comfort since the death of her spouse and husband. One day, the chimpanzee attacked Charla Nash. He left her injured with the ruptured face.
Lifelong Relationship of Charla Nash and Sandra
Already, Sandra Herold has experienced two disasters. Suzan was the youngest daughter of Charla. She died when her car hit a piece of wood on a Virginia roadside in September of 2000.
According to New York Magazine, Suzan survived this accident. But Sandra and Herold fall into despair. They failed to develop a connection with her kid after this injury.
Herold experienced a terrible disaster in April 2005 after spending many days in the hospital. When he passed away from stomach cancer. Also, his pet chimpanzee Travis had terrible sadness due to his sudden death.

Nash Struggle
Nash and her daughter fought to find a safe house. They also spent over a year in a homeless camp. Nash was scraping by on limited jobs like lawn maintenance and animal cage washing.
However, Nash and Herold rejoined immediately upon Jerry’s death. Herold even gave Nash and her kid a housing rooftop flat previously given to her dying kid. Nash received a job managing transportation operations and accounting from her as well.

Charla Nash at Mohegan Sun City
Sandra Herold and Charla Nash planned an unexpected trip together. They decide to travel to Mohegan Sun City in Montville, Connecticut. It was the weekend of February 2009. Herold invited her buddy to the salon after they decided to leave. Both looked like two attractive bachelors.
On the other hand, when they returned on February 16th, Herold arrived home to find Travis very angry. When Charla Nash was washing his apartment, he snatched her keys off the kitchen counter. Also, he opened the door and walked into the garden.He expressed no curiosity about the activities he usually enjoys for the majority of the day. Herold put a Xanax pill in his cup of tea due to panic. On that occasion, some stories separated about this incident. Herold had contacted Nash and requested her help to seduce Travis to return to the house. But Herold claims that I provided help to her.

Travis Attacks Charla Nash
Charla Nash came to the Herold house at approximately 3:40 p.m. in any situation. On the entrance lawn was Travis. Nash tried to get him back inside the home by showing him his favorite toy, a Tickle-Me-Elmo doll.
Travis then had a mental breakdown. He raced up to Nash, climbed on his tiptoes, pushed her against the front of her auto, then fell to the floor. She was screaming on the floor, and he kept attacking her. This chimpanzee Travis become popular. after this attack.
Travis kept resisting Herold’s shoveling whippings. She went inside her home, took a kitchen blade, and attacked him in the shoulder from a lack of options. In front of this, he continued without stopping. She attacked him two more times.
Travis got to his knees, gave his master a straight glance, and started beating Nash.Herold called 911 in a panic. She shouted, “He’s attacking my friend!” “He killed her!
She informed the coordinator, almost mumbling out of fear, “He—he tore her skin off… He’s eating her!

Charla Nash Recovering
Police observed Travis coated in blood, wandering the area. The injured Travis rushed inside the home after the police fired six shots. Blood trailed him from the kitchen to his apartment, where he died holding his bedside table. The flash of Nash, fingernails, and almost all her blood spread on the lawn. Travis tore off her eyes, face, cheeks, chin, and skull. Charla Nash grasped the cop’s arm as she lay motionless. But she survived.
She moved from Stamford to the Cleveland Clinic 3 days after the incident. She was in serious condition for 15 months of rehabilitation.Charla Nash showed her face live on Oprah Winfrey’s program on her 56th birthday 9 months after the incident.
